These terms describe the rules for accessing and using the Educate an Orphan website.

1. About these terms
These terms apply when you access or use the Educate an Orphan website. By using the website, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, you should stop using the website. Separate terms from Paystack, banks, social networks or other third-party services may also apply when you use those services.
2. About EAO
Educate an Orphan (EAO) is a Nigeria-based initiative that supports educational access and progress for orphaned and vulnerable children. EAO can be contacted using the email address and telephone number published on this website. Formal registration and principal-address details will be added when they are available for publication.
3. Information on the website
EAO aims to keep website information accurate, respectful and current, but programme needs, figures, dates and availability may change. Website content is provided for general information and does not constitute legal, tax, financial, medical or professional advice. Formal reports should identify their reporting period and methodology.
4. Donations and sponsorship
Donations are governed by EAO’s Donation Policy and any information shown at the point of payment. Sponsorship supports an educational purpose but does not create ownership, guardianship, employment or a right to direct contact with a child. EAO may allocate support according to verified needs, safeguarding responsibilities and any approved restrictions attached to a gift.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the website unlawfully; attempt to gain unauthorised access; interfere with its availability or security; introduce malicious code; scrape or collect personal information without permission; impersonate another person; submit false payment or beneficiary information; harass a child, guardian, donor, volunteer or staff member; or reuse beneficiary material in a way that is exploitative, misleading or harmful.
6. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, EAO or its licensors own the website’s branding, design, text, reports and media. You may view and share links to public pages for lawful, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, alter, sell, license or commercially exploit website material without permission. Rights in third-party material remain with the relevant owner.
7. Children, stories and safeguarding
Website access does not authorise anyone to identify, contact, visit or investigate a beneficiary. Names, images, academic information and stories must not be extracted, combined with other information or republished in a way that may identify or endanger a child. Safeguarding concerns should be reported under EAO’s Safeguarding Policy.
8. Third-party services and links
The website may link to Paystack, banks, Instagram, TikTok, X or other independent services. EAO does not control their availability, content, security or privacy practices. A link does not necessarily mean that EAO endorses every statement or service available there. You should review the third party’s terms and privacy information before using it.
9. Availability and liability
EAO may update, suspend or withdraw all or part of the website. To the extent permitted by applicable law, EAO does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access and is not responsible for losses caused solely by events beyond its reasonable control, misuse of the website or reliance on outdated general information. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from fraud or deliberate wrongdoing.
10. Privacy
EAO’s Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. By submitting information, you confirm that it is accurate and that you are entitled to provide it. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive information through general website forms.
11. Changes to these terms
EAO may update these terms to reflect changes in the website, programme, law or service providers. The current approved version and effective date should always be published on this page. Material changes should be communicated where reasonably appropriate.
12. Governing law, concerns and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to any mandatory rights that apply. The parties should first try to resolve a concern in good faith by contacting admin@educateanorphan.com or +234 810 811 4407 before pursuing another lawful remedy.
